Nokia PureBook X14 Laptop: An Introductory Review and Ultimate Buying Guide

The Nokia brand is associated with smartphones; however, the Finnish technology company decided to expand its production area and released its first laptop, Nokia PureBook X14, in India today with Flipkart. The novelty is positioned as a laptop in the middle price category.

It is not the first time that Flipkart has collaborated with the Finnish company Nokia in product launch. Earlier Flipkart has already released Nokia Smart TV. Flipkart itself announced the imminent announcement of the Nokia Purebook. In a promotional teaser, Flipkart describes the upcoming new product as “ultralight,” “powerful,” and “immersive.”

The new laptop is equipped with a 14 inch Full HD LED Display, a tenth-generation Intel Core i5 quad-core processor with a clock speed of up to 4.2 GHz. The screen-to-body ratio is 86%, and the viewing angles of the matte screen are 178 degrees.

The laptop comes preinstalled with Windows 10 Home and a 512GB NVMe SSD, 8GB DD4 RAM, and Intel UHD 620 graphics up to 1.1GHz.

Speakers with Dolby Atmos support are responsible for the sound in the device. Also, there is facial recognition using Windows Hello.

The Nokia PureBook X14 weighs about 1.1 kg. The manufacturer promises up to eight hours of battery life on a single charge. The cost of the laptop starts at 60 thousand Indian rupees ($815).

Nokia PureBook X14 has a stylish and minimalist design. The laptop case is made of black magnesium-aluminum alloy. The device boasts a bezel-less display with very thin bezels around the perimeter. The case is 16.8 MM thick and weighs only 1.1 Kg. On the case, among the ports, there is one Ethernet (RJ45), two USB Type-A (USB 3.1), one USB Type-A (USB 2.0), one USB Type-C (USB 3.1), one HDMI, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

An Intel Core i5-10210U processor powers Nokia PureBook X14; the integrated Intel solution is responsible for the graphics – there is no discrete graphics card. The laptop has 8 GB of RAM, but there is also an additional slot that allows you to increase RAM up to 16 GB.

The storage capacity is 512 GB on SSD. The 14-inch display features FullHD resolution and Dolby Vision support, with a maximum brightness of 250 nits.

The battery capacity is 46.7 W/h; the manufacturer promises up to 8 hours of autonomy. The operating system is Windows 10.
