Russian Startup Hover Started Certification of Air Taxi in Russia

According to the head of the domestic startup Hover, Alexander Atamanov, full-fledged certification of the flying taxi developed by the company has already begun – all work and preparation of documentation in this direction are carried out jointly with the Moscow Aviation Institute.

Although the certification process for such a vehicle is a very slow process, Hover is fully confident that this air taxi will be ready for commercial use in 2025.

Hover specialists and engineers have been developing a two-seater air taxi since 2019. It is a device that can take off and land vertically on specially prepared sites, is capable of moving at altitudes of no more than 150 meters at a maximum speed of up to 190 km/h, and a full battery charge will offer about 40 minutes of autonomous flight.

Recall that the domestic brand Hover is also known in the world for the development of a flying motorcycle, the so-called hoverbike, first shown in 2016 at Skolkovo. After that, the startup received over $2 million in investments and has already entered into partnership agreements with the Dubai Police Department and Yamaha.
