Canon offers three types of mounts: the EF mount for its full-format sensor devices (EOS 5D Mark III, EOS 6D, etc…), the EF-S mount for APS-C sensor devices (EOS 700D, EOS 7D, etc…) and the BLOB mount for the brand’s only hybrid the EOS M.
Our selection of Canon lenses takes into account only EF and EF-S mounts, the EOS M being a commercial failure of which nothing is known about the future.

2. Canon 24-105 mm f/4 L IS USM
Not too expensive and offering a fairly wide focal range, this is the kind of zoom that remains screwed to the case. Only shortcomings: a limited opening and a lack of stitching on the edges of the picture.

3. Canon 28-300 mm f/3.5-5.6L IS USM
For the lazy or those who can only carry one lens to do everything – landscapes, portraits, action-it is a fatal weapon. But its low brightness forces to rise the ISO and its high price can discourage more than one.

Zoom of the excess, this 50-150 mm offers a huge zoom range for less than 1500 dollars. If it is not very bright, it more readily accommodates recent cases, able to cash 3200 or even 6400 ISO. But this is the price of ultra-versatility.

8. Sigma 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 II DG HSM
